Our Beginnings
Grandpa's Hospitality House was born from my own family's experience while my dad, Jim Boyd, was unexpectedly admitted to Mercy Hospital. When my six siblings and I arrived from all over the Midwest and we had no idea that one day would turn into six. We didn't want to be too far away, so we slept in the waiting room. The hospital staff was very kind and supplied us with pillows and blankets. However we soon found ourselves in need of showers, clean clothes and place to refresh. In memory of our dad, I opened Grandpa's Hospitality House with the desire to help others who find themselves in similar situations.
